Background

Bernie De Souza excelled in sport at school. He had dreams of making a career in sport. After he left school he joined the Royal Air Force and qualified as a Physical Training Instructor and sports coach.

While in the service Bernie was introduced to a business which he started with energy and enthusiasm. From a feeling that he could achieve more, Bernie developed and tapped into his own success potential, and retired from conventional work in his mid-twenties. Since then he has moved on to develop an international business through bringing out the best in people. Bernie has dedicated his life to helping others to achieve new levels of success in their lives. His ability in mentoring and personal development has helped many to achieve their goals and dreams.

In addition to teaching and coaching sport Bernie also plays cricket for the MCC.

As a member of the Public Speakers Association Bernie is sought-after internationally as a motivational speaker whose prominent business skill is to make things simple.

Bernie's first venture into writing was a story book " Unlock Your Dreams " published in 2005. The story is taken from lessons he learned as he consistently developed his business. Many success principles are woven into the course of the story.

Bernie was introduced to the DISC method of personality assessment in the mid 1990s when he was a guest speaker at a conference in the USA . The presentation by another speaker, Dr Robert Rohm of Personality Insights, made such a powerful impact on Bernie that he followed it up by attending Personality Insights Consultants training courses in the USA . He is an Accredited Consultant, affiliated to Personality Insights to present workshops and seminars using DISC.

As well as competitive sports Bernie has also run in the Hawaiian marathon in aid of different charities that he supports.
